Absolutely Games and Team17 Digital have announced that Classified: France ‘44, the WWII-based strategy epic, coming to PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S, will now launch in early 2024 on all platforms. The developer and publisher have also released a brand-new trailer introducing several of the game’s characters from the Allied special forces.

Classified: France ’44 is one of the highly anticipated games in the upcoming lineup of gaming projects. A lot of details about the gameplay have not been disclosed until now but some sources have stated some information. The main intention will be taken down the enemy soldiers and stealth is used instead of gunfire.

The game will start as a simple recon mission, leading to a battle where the gamer needs to survive. The missions are going to be complicated where one distraction might lead to defeat. The game is set a few months before the D-Day of the Second World War and the Allies arrived at the shore of Normandy.

The players have to build a special ops team and they have to take down the Axis. It takes inspiration from the Jedburghs , a group of Allied forces who had to disrupt the plans of the Axis, who were trying to take over France. Gamers have to recruit soldiers and have to establish a close friendship with them, trying to bring together all the regions around France.

Every soldier and French Resistance fighter has his or her personality and skills, letting you to build your team and this will be dependent on the gameplay. The premise will be almost similar to other games, including XCOM and Marvel’s Midnight Suns
