Creaks is out now for Apple Arcade! Release Date and Gameplay!

Creaks is an adventure game designed by Amanita Design. It is Amanita Design’s first big game which isn’t a point & clicks adventure. It was revealed on October 9, 2018.

Creaks captured Dvorský ‘s interest, and Jurda and Chlup were invited to join the Amanita Team. Jurda and Chlup have formed a small team within Amanita Design that has been working on the project. The game was released to the public on 9 October 2018. The game was in creation for 8 years.

Visit a vast sprawling mansion, populated by excentric avian people and alien animals, who may or may not be as threatening as they sound. Through their animated form, these creatures called creaks are dangerous threats that you should still stay away from.

Though, as long as you manage to catch them under a beam of light, they turn into innocuous furniture that can be just as useful when you solve a lot of complicated puzzles in the game.

Release Date

The game was released on 10 July 2020 for Apple Arcade, with PC edition and update for PS4 and Xbox One revealed later in July 2020. Around the time of the original release, the Nintendo Switch version was at development. The release date for PCs and consoles was revealed for 22 July 2020 on 14 July 2020.

Gameplay

The player controls a human who travels to different monsters called Creaks through a subterranean homeworld. Creaks take inspiration from a phenomenon called Pareidolia. To progress through the game, the player must escape these monsters and solve puzzles. Puzzles are based on light and rational reasoning.

Enemies typically switch into Furniture while the light is on. Player needs to do this when solving Puzzles because an opponent turned in Furniture can be used to get to an otherwise inaccessible area. There are also different types of enemies acting differently. Ghost, for example, copies the Players’ action as Dog hits him immediately. Player also comes across a variety of buttons and levers used to solve Puzzles
