Dark Season 3: Release Date, Trailer, Cast and Updates!

Dark German TV Series is coming with the Dark Season 3 and will be the last season in this series. This series is first-ever German Series On Netflix and follows a fictional plot. It is Set in the fictitious town of Winden, Germany, and shows the aftermath of a child’s disappearance. Throughout the series, Dark explores the existential consequences of time and its effects on human nature. The series debuted on 1 December 2017 and many fans compared it with Stranger Things(another Netflix Original series). The Show was an Instant Hit and even the creators were Shocked with such a great response. Co-Creator of the Show even said in a statement that “Two weeks after the release of season one, I was on Twitter honestly 24 hours a day. Somehow you’re prepared for failure then success I guess. For two or four weeks I was completely lost to the world”.

When Will Dark Season 3 be released?

Odar announced back that series would be back somewhere in Summer 2020. The Production completed in mid-December 2019, so a summer 2020 debut seemed likely. On May 14, 2020, Baran bo Odar wrote on Instagram that Season 3 is done and everything is wrapped up. Also, he said by indicating that season 3 is finally on the way. Finally, on May 26, Netflix set the date via a Season 3 trailer release: June 27.

This date lines up with the plot of the show. There is no coincidence that Season 2 did get a release on June 21. So, when you consider that bit of information, Netflix is intentionally releasing the final episodes on June 27, 2020. Because it’s the apocalypse, even though that’s a Saturday and the streaming service typically releases its programs on Fridays.

Dark Season 2 Moments Explained.

There was a thunder attack at the end of Dark season two when Martha, the love of Jonas’s life, was shot right in front of him, as the light faded from her eyes. But the fact that her death was technically by Jonas just made the fans go mad. it was old Jonas, otherwise known as Adam, who murdered her.

We discover in season two that Jonas will eventually become Adam, a time traveler who is residing in 1921 and has access to a device that uses the God Particle. That allows him to journey anywhere in time and hence he uses to make things worse.

What will Dark Season 3 Deal with?

In a statement, Jantje said ”The basic idea of Season 3 was something that we already had when we started. There are also a lot of things in Season 1 hinting to Season 3. Also, we thought about putting some of the stuff that’s now in Season 3 into Season 2 but then decided to move it backward. So basically now everything that’s left just falls into Season 3.” But This statement just opens more questions for the fans. Dark Season 3 will have to answer questions like where did Jonas go? and many more.

Who Will be the Cast?

The Dark Season 3 Cast includes Louis Hofmann as teen Jonas, Jordis Triebel as Katharina. Lisa Vicari as Martha, Mark Waschke as Noah, Andreas Pietschmann as older Jonas. Lea van Acken as the unnamed girl from the future. Set to join the cast are Barbara Nusse, Hans Diehl, Jakob Diehl, Nina Kronjager, Sammy Scheuritzel, and Axel Werner.

We’ll be seeing more of teen Magnus (Moritz Jahn), old Elisabeth (Sandra Borgmann), young Elisabeth (Carlotta von Falkenhayn), Adam (a.k.a. oldest Jonas, played by Dietrich Hollinderbäumer). Wöller (Leopold Hornung), young Katharina (Nele Trebs), Franziska Doppler (Gina Stiebitz), young Egon Tiedemann (Sebastian Hülk).
