Created by Maggie Friedman, Firefly Lane is a drama series, made for Netflix. Friedman is also the executive producer alongside Peter O’Fallon, Stephanie Germain, Katherine Heigl, Shawn Williamson and Lee Rose.

The first season of the series premiered on February 3, 2021 and received mixed reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 47% on Rotten Tomatoes and scored 57 out of 100 on Metacritic. Despite the mixed response, the makers have renewed the series for a second season.

Firefly Lane Season 1 ended with Tully quitting her talk show, The Girlfriend Hour, after being fed up with the production’s misogynist atmosphere. Tully and Kate set out to start their own talk show and this could be another storyline. The first season ends with Tully’s mother being arrested which will definitely impact Tully’s life.

The major cliffhanger in the previous season was the state of Tully and Kate’s relationship. The series revealed in a flash-forward that Kate and Tully’s friendship is over although the reason remain unknown. Overall, the new season will continue from where the first season ended.

Talking about the cast, the leads of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Katherine Heigl, Sarah Chalke, Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett and Yael Yurman. We can expect to see some new faces since it is a new season.

Firefly Lane Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Firefly Lane was released in February 2021 and it was renewed for a second season two months later. The makers have confirmed that the second season will officially premiere sometime in 2022.

The second season should consist of ten episodes like Season 1, although the makers are yet to provide a confirmation. The show is produced by Stephanie Germain Productions and Curly Girly Productions.
