Created by Luke Pearson, Hilda is an animated streaming television series. It is based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Pearson, who is also the show’s executive producer alongside Kurt Mueller, Stephanie Simpson, Clint Eland, and Paula Rosenthal.

The first season they were premiered on Netflix on September 21, 2018, followed by the second season on December 14, 2020. The series has received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The show has been renewed for a third and final season.

Hilda Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger where after escaping a troll-filled forest, Hilda’s mother found that her daughter has been replaced by a child troll named Baba. Hilda is left back in the troll forest stuck in the body of the troll.

Apart from everything, there is very little information on what the third season may offer to the viewers. However, it might end up being anything and might explore the unknowns of a mystical and magical world of what Hilda is about. Further information related to the plot of the third season is yet to be revealed.

Coming to the cast, most of the leads from the first two seasons are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Bella Ramsey, Ameerah Falzon-Ojo, Oliver Nelson, Daisy Haggard, Ramsus Hardiker, and others. Any other additions are expected to be announced soon.
