Therefore, presenting to you, Hubie Halloween, an upcoming American comedy film directed by Steven Brill and co-produced and co-written by and starring Adam Sandler. It is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2020. Principal shooting began in July 2019 in Massachusetts. Netflix just released the first looks of the movie and not much about the story and from the trailer what we get to know that it is definitely going to be a fun ride.
The description of Hubie Halloween on IMDb goes like this, “Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, (and its Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something is going bump in the night, and it’s up to Hubie to save Halloween.” Last year, Massachusetts’s Old Town historic district was decorated with fake autumn leaves and Halloween decorations even when Halloween was a distant thing. Hubie Halloweenis anticipated to be a comedy with a pinch of thrillers, just to spice things up. The story is going to be about a “good-natured but eccentric community volunteer who finds himself at the center of a real murder case on Halloween night.” Kate Fox, the executive director of Destination Salem and the film liaison for the city, said last year to Boston.com that she’s thrilled that Salem will once again be the setting of a Halloween-themed movie.
