If You’re an iPad User, These Are the Trends to Watch

Published

on

If you’re one of the hundreds of millions of iPad owners out there, you probably fall into one of two camps. The first camp consists of the “casual” iPad user, who might not have a huge amount of brand loyalty and may online use their iPad for light entertainment.

In the other camp is the committed iPad fan, who swears by Apple products and uses their iPad for a variety of important purposes on a day-to-day basis. Whichever type of iPad user you are, it pays to stay on top of the changes that are happening with this exciting product market.

Apple’s iPad is growing in popularity like never before, with new trends emerging that will impact how all of us use this iconic product. Read on to find out the essential iPad trends that you should be keeping an eye on right now.

iPad is back, and bigger than ever

The fortunes of the iPad have ebbed and flowed more dramatically than the fortunes of, say, the iPhone. Some years have seen robust sales for iPad worldwide, while others have seen dramatic drops in revenues. However, it seems that the iPad is on track to enter a golden age. 2021 was the second-best year for iPhone sales ever, with more people buying the new-gen iPads (despite their eye-watering price tag) than anyone could have predicted. The iPad continues to take a growing chunk of the overall tablet market, and its dominance seems all but assured, at least in the medium term.

iPads are MMO infrastructure

More so than with iPhones, people use iPads for gaming. However, the days of Candy Crush and Cut the Rope are well behind us. It seems that one of the most popular uses for the iPad today is to play smash-hit MMO games such as League of Legends, Fortnite, and CS:GO. Few could have predicted this five years ago, but thanks to the gaming PC capabilities of the most recent iPad generations, the tablets have become an essential gaming infrastructure for the hundreds of millions of people who play MMOs. The suitability of iPads for MMO gaming has undoubtedly contributed to its strong sales growth in recent years.

iPad casino games are here

The rise of MMO gaming is not the only iPad gameplay trend to pay attention to. In recent years, the rise of real money online games has clearly left its mark on the global iPad user base, thanks to a proliferation of online casinos that have formatted their games for smooth tablet gameplay. As these casino apps for iPad users demonstrate, it is now possible to play immersive livestream casino games such as roulette and blackjack via a standard iPad device, something that opens up whole new possibilities for iPad gaming in general. Expect to see a lot more on iPad-friendly online casinos in the coming months and years.

These are the iPad trends that every iPad user should be aware of right now. Whatever you use your iPad for on a daily basis, these trends will likely shape how future iPads are designed.
