Is there a Peaky Blinders Season 6? Find out here !
The British crime series, Peaky Blinders, is presently available on BBC one and is also currently streaming on Netflix. The show has won many accolades and nominations at Prestigious award functions like BAFTA Television Craft Awards. Since it’s inception, Peaky Blinders gained wide popularity for its exciting storyline set in an even more exciting historical background, with compelling but relatable and understanding characters. It comes as no shock that the series has been renewed for a new season; season 6.
Release Date
As it could be gathered from several reports, it has been revealed that the show’s sixth season was planned to be released as quickly as possible. Most probably around the early months of 2021. Just for the sake of this, they had taken the stress of making sure that the sets, the costumes, and the screenplay are all in ready mode. Although the production companies have indefinitely halted their projects due to the current global pandemic. So it’s highly likely that the release might be postponed to a later date, maybe somewhere in 2022.
What to expect?
The sixth season is supposed to explore the events that will rile up the Shelby family in the historical background of racism and fascism, which is on the rise in many parts of then Europe. We can’t tell for sure if Tommy Shelby will die or not. Though it’s the most pertinent question that the fans would ask after watching Season 5.
Cast
The fact that whether Stephen Graham will play Gina Gray’s father in Peaky Blinders Season 6, has thrilled fans of the show.
Graham told the Pound for Pound podcast: “I was supposed to be starting Peaky Blinders but that has been put on hold indefinitely.” He continued, ” Luckily I was in a really good position where I was going to go from job to job for the next three years.
Creator and writer Steven Knight confirmed that is this not who Stephen Graham will be playing. Instead, he could be starring as Tommy Shelby’s new enemy is the upcoming season.
What remains to be seen is whether Graham takes on the role of Gina’s father or not.
