Peaky Blinder Season 6: Creators drops Clue Regarding Thomas Shelby’s Future?

The Peaky Boys were ready to shoot another season early this year. But unfortunately, the global pandemic stopped all production works all across the globe. Now as things have started to recover, the series was permitted by the UK government to resume production.

Peaky Blinders season 5 ended with a huge mystery? Who had betrayed Thomas Shelby? Even the powerful Shelby was at a loss of words. Thomas Shelby’s plan to assassinate fascist Oswald Mosley was foiled by a mysterious organization. Even his friend Barney Thompson and  Aberama Gold were killed in the failed operation. Thomas saw hallucinations of his dead wife Grace in the season. He believes that these dreams were because of his gypsy roots.

What did the Creators Reveal about the upcoming Peaky Blinders Season?

This cliffhanger provides a perfect base to start a new season. Now series creator Steven Knight has dropped some hints regarding Thomas’s future. He hinted that things will take a turn for the worse for Thomas Shelby.

Peaky Blinders podcast show director Anthony Byrne and Steven Knight teased a few things at BBC Sound Obsessed With Peaky Blinders podcast. Anthony Byrne revealed that the next season will take off from the cliff hanger itself. He added: “I have read three of the scripts and they’re great. I did say it feels like part one of two and that was purely based on the fact you have this cliffhanger.”

Creator Steven Knight said that  “We’ll be looking at 1934 and things are worse. The drumbeat is getting louder, tensions are worse and Tommy is right in the middle of that. Again, it will be an exploration of what was going on in the ‘30s and how certain things transpired.”

Well, one thing can be surely said that trouble and Thomas Shelby are completely inseparable.
