Netflix’s second Swedish-language series, Love & Anarchy is a romantic comedy television series. The series was created by Lisa Langseth, who also served as the head writer, together with Alex Haridi.

The series first premiered on Netflix on 4 November 2020. Frida Asp, Pontus Edgren, and Martina Håkansson are the executive producers. The show is produced by FLX and Setkeeper and distributed by Netflix Streaming Services.

Season 1 ended with positive uncertainty, which could be a good starting point for season 2 should the show get renewed. Sofie returns to Max, who asked her, “So what happens now?” She answers, “Well, I don’t know.”

Sofie might have finally mustered the courage to choose her happiness, but that doesn’t mean she can just run away from her responsibilities easily, especially from the clasps of her controlling husband. We are expecting her relationship with Max to take a more serious turn in Season 2.

The cast of Season 2 is not confirmed yet, but we are looking forward to the return of the following cast members should the show get renewed. Ida Engvoll is likely to return as Sofie, along with Björn Mosten as Max. Johannes Bah Kuhnke is also likely to come back as Johan, Sofie’s controlling and manipulative husband.

Other cast members who might return include Björn Kjellman as Ronny, Reine Brynolfsson as Friedrich, Gizem Erdogan as Denise and Carla Sehn as Caroline among others.

Love & Anarchy was released on November 4, 2020, and shows often takes a gap of one year between seasons. For now, the makers have not revealed anything regarding the release date of the new season.

The new season is expected to release sometime in 2022. The second season is expected to have eight episodes like Season 1 and the rest of the details will be disclosed soon.
