Maid of Sker: Release Date, Gameplay and Features!

Maid of Sker is a thriller of first-person survival, set in a remote hotel of British legend gory and macabre history. Armed with only a defensive sound tool, you must use stealth tactics to prevent death among sound-based AI enemy cults.

Created by Wales Interactive with a plot from the creative team of Talespinners, who had previously worked on SOMA, The Bunker and Battlefield 1. Wales Interactive, based in South Wales, UK, is a multi-award winning video game and digital film producer & publisher.

Release Date

Maid of Sker appears on PC (via Steam), Xbox One, and PS4 on July 28th.

Gameplay

Set in 1898 and inspired by Elisabeth Williams’ chilling Welsh tale. This is a story of a family empire powered by terror, slavery, piracy, and a mysterious mystery that smothers the hotel’s grounds.

You act as Thomas Evans. A musician who is plunged through a harrowing struggle to rescue the woman he loves, based on Elizabeth Williams’s chilling true tale. Built-in and around Sker House in 1898, a true house that remains to this day and is said to be one of Britain’s most haunted.

It aims to offer difficult stealth play when you are dubbed the Quiet Men to avoid opponents with supervision. The game also features a replayable plot that divides according to your actions.

Wales Interactive has a very mixed track record however, to date, Maid of Sker appears to be their most creative, personal project.
