On July 24, 2020, Netflix renewed the series for a second season which was released on July 30, 2021. In December 2021, the series was renewed for a third season which was released on February 23, 2023. In February 2023, ahead of the third season premiere, the series was renewed for a fourth season, which is soon coming on Netflix.

Outer Banks Season 4 Plot

At the end of season three, the Pogues found a captain’s log that once belonged to Blackbeard, a famous pirate. John B agrees to investigate the clue, which suggests that season four will see the group embark on yet another drama-filled quest for Blackbeard’s treasure.

Plot details for the fourth season has not been disclosed but there could be another hunt for a new treasure. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Daviss said that the new season will clear everything on why the gold is so necessary and the reasons behind Big John’s missing. The questions will be answered and people would realize how the kids have been all this time.
