Outlander Season 7: Release Date, Plot, and more!

The historical drama television series, Outlander is inspired from the same name novel by Diana Gabaldon. It is developed by Ronald D. Moore, who is also the executive producer of the series along with Jim Kohlberg, Ira Steven Behr, Andy Harries, Maril Davis, Anne Kenney, Matthew B. Roberts, Marigo Kehoe, and Toni Graphia.

The series debuted on August 9, 2014, and received positive reviews from critics which currently holds an approval rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. The makers have renewed the series for a seventh season which will be released soon.

Outlander Season 7 Plot and Cast

The sixth season concluded with a cliffhanger that would be resolved in the new season. Claire is trapped in Wilmington and might have to undergo a trial for Tom Christie’s daughter Malva’s death and could be hanged if found responsible for the same. Jamie is saved from Richard Brown’s Committee of Safety. While Young Ian and John Quincy Myers are going to save her, it is possibly another prison break. The upcoming season will disclose about Malva’s murderer and the importance of Wendigo Donner for the Fraser Family. The new season will be adapted from the 7th book by Gabaldon, An Echo in the Bone.

The makers have not revealed the plot details for Outlander Season 7. However, it is expected to continue from where Season 6 ended. Further details shall be revealed soon.

Outlander Season 7 Release Date

Ahead of the sixth season’s premiere, the makers have renewed the series for a seventh season on March 14, 2021, and will be released on June 16, 2023. The new season will be released in two parts and the second part will be premiered in 2024 but the exact release date is yet to be confirmed.

The makers said once that the series originally had 12 episodes and will be an adaptation of the seventh novel, An Echo in the Bone. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, Tall Ship Productions, Story Mining and Supply Company, and Left Bank Pictures.
