Cast Details
Jerry Bruckheimer will be be producing the sixth film. He has been the producer of the rest of the films as well, under his production company Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Although there has been no official news regarding the cast of the sixth film yet, it is believed that the sixth film will have a female lead pirate. Johnny Depp is supposedly leaving the franchise after five outings as the famous Captain Jack Sparrow. These are still just rumours.Walt Disney Pictures have been pretty tight-lipped when it comes to revealing details about the cast of the sixth Pirates of the Caribbean film. Orlando Bloom might be returning to his role Will Turner. Keira Knightley is also expected to reprise her role of Elizabeth Swann. Brenton Thwaites might also return to his role as Will and Elizabeth’s son, Henry Turner.
Kaya Scodelario, who played the role of Captain Barbossa’s daughter, Carina Smyth, in Dead Men Tell No Tales, had said in 2017 that she was contractually obligated to appear in two Pirates’ films. So we can expect her to return to her role in the sixth film as well.
In the post credit scene of the previous film, we saw the return of Davy Jones. That might set the plot of the sixth film, with Bill Nighy returning to his role. There is still no concrete news on this yet, but this seems to be the most plausible scenario as of now.
