Record of Ragnarok Season 2: Release Date, Plot and more!

Written by Shinya Umemura and illustrated by Ajichika, Record of Ragnarok is a Japanese manga series. It began in Coamix’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Zenon in November 2017.

The series was adapted as an original net animation by Graphinica and premiered in June 2021 on Netflix. Although the series has been a hit in other places around the world, it got embroiled in a controversy in India for wrong depiction of Hindu deities and was eventually removed from Netflix’s streaming library in India.

Record of Ragnarok Plot and Cast

Considering what would happen next in the manga. the next matchup will be between Jack the Ripper and Hercules. From here, Raiden Tameemon will take on Shiva and Buddha will take on Bishamonten.

The first season consisted of three fights and possibly the second season will follow the same process. Humanity must win seven fights to save itself from total destruction and they are down by one. If the fighting goes to the 13th matchup, the show might last for two more seasons after the second.

Coming to the cast, the lead cast members are expected to return to provide their voices for the characters. This includes Miruki Sawashiro, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Kayleigh McKee, Tomokazu Seki, Soma Saito, Kazuhiro Yamaji and others. Further additions are expected to be announced soon by the makers.

Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Release Date

Following the release of Season 1 in June 2021, the developers announced a second season of Record of Ragnarok. However, an official release date has not been confirmed, although, it should premiere by the end of 2022.

The upcoming season should consist of 12 episodes like Season 1. However, the developers are expected to announce further details related to the second season in the next few months.
