Created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, Reservation Dogs is an Indigenous American teen comedy-drama streaming television series. It has received critical acclaim and numerous accolades, including two Independent Spirit Awards and a Critics’ Choice Television Awards nomination for Best Comedy Series.

The series premiered on Hulu under FX on Hulu on August 9, 2021. In September 2021, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on August 3, 2022 and the makers have already renewed the show for a third season.

Reservation Dogs Plot and Cast

Reservation Dogs Season 2 concluded on September 28, 2022 and it was then renewed for a third season. So for now, we cannot say anything about what would happen in Season 3 since the makers have also not said anything.

In Season 2, the Rez Dogs are still experiencing grief over the loss of their friend, now compounded by the foursome being broken apart and scattered, and missing each other. The “California dream” does not turn out the way they expected, resulting in more feelings of disappointment and abandonment. While they cope using humor, they also face increasingly more adult challenges. Financial and family responsibilities arise as they continue to try to figure out their lives.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see the lead cast members of Seasons 1 and 2 reprising their roles. This includes Devery Jacobs, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Lane Factor and Paulina Alexis. Since it is a new season, we can expect to see some new faces.

Reservation Dogs Season 3 Release Date

The first season of the series premiered in August 2021 and it was renewed for a second season the following month. The second season premiered on August 3, 2022 and it was renewed for a third season the next month.

The third season is set to be premiered in August 2023, however, the developers have not reveled any specific release date yet. The show is distributed by Disney Platform Distribution and Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
