Somebody Somewhere Season 2: Release Date, Plot and more!

Created by Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen, Somebody Somewhere is an American comedy-drama television series. In July 2020, HBO ordered Somebody Somewhere to series which is inspired by the life of Bridget Everett who plays the lead role.

It premiered on HBO on January 16, 2022. In February 2022, the series was renewed for a second season. Bos and Thureen are also the executive producers alongside Bridget Everett, Carolyn Strauss, Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, Mel Eslyn, Patricia Breen and Tyler Romary.

Somebody Somewhere Plot and Cast

The first season introduces viewers to Sam, a middle-aged woman who is struggling to adjust to her hometown after the death of her sister. Sam’s home life is also not going well, owing to a strained connection with her other sister, Tricia, and a relapsed alcoholic mother, Mary Jo.

Season 2 will expand on the events of Season 1 by focusing on the challenges Sam and the singing group face while seeking to relocate. It will also show how Tricia deals with Charity in the aftermath of Rick’s betrayal.

All narrative lines will be examined, including Mary Jo’s return from rehab and Ed’s response to her, Joel and Michael’s plans, and Sam’s new profession after starting work on Fred’s farm. Finally, it may represent the introduction of new people into Sam’s life and how she handles them

The main cast includes Bridget Everett as Sam, Jeff Hiller as Joel, Mary Catherine Garrison as Tricia Miller, Danny McCarthy as Rick, Mike Hagerty as Ed Miller, Murray Hill as Fred Rococo, Jane Drake Brody as Mary Jo, Jon Hudson Odom as Michael and Heidi Johanningmeier as Charity.

Somebody Somewhere Season 2 Release Date

Because the first season just ended, no release date for the second season has been revealed. However, according to sources, Somebody Somewhere Season 2 should release sometime in 2023, although, an official confirmation is awaited.

The new season is expected to have seven episodes like Season 1. Further details related to the show, casting and plot are yet to be revealed by the makers.
