Two Doors Down Season 6: Release Date, Cast and more!

Created by Simon Carlyle and Gregor Sharp, Two Doors Down is a Scottish television sitcom, produced by BBC Studios. Two Doors Down won the Best Comedy award at the 2017 Royal Television Society Scotland Awards, with separate BAFTA Scotland wins for cast and crew over the course of its run.

A full series was commissioned, which began airing on BBC Two in April 2016, with a second series in November 2016. A third series was released in 2018 and followed by a fourth in 2019. A fifth series was announced in mid-2020, which began airing on 6 December 2021, and will resume in 2022, followed by a sixth series later in the year.

Two Doors Down Plot and Cast

Since Two Doors Down Season 5 has not concluded yet, and it is scheduled to end in 2022, the makers have not revealed anything on what might happen in Season 6. However, it will definitely continue from where Season 5 would end and so, we must wait until the finale of the fifth season.

The basic premise focuses on neighbours living side by side in a typical Glasgow suburb. BBC Scotland describes the characters as “not so happily living together” the neighbours are constantly visiting uninvited, and overstaying their welcome, at Beth and Eric Baird’s house.

Beth is often taken advantage of by her neighbours, frequently having to make tea, pour drinks and prepare food, while the remaining characters chat in the living room. Eric and Beth therefore try and avoid their neighbours as much as possible so they can enjoy some peace and quiet in their own home.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Alex Norton, Arabella Weir, Elaine C. Smith, Jonathan Watson, Doon Mackichan, Jamie Quinn, Kieran Hodgson, Graeme ‘Grado’ Stevely and Joy McAvoy in the lead roles.

Two Doors Down Season 6 Release Date

As mentioned earlier, Two Doors Down Season 5 is yet to reach its conclusion, which is scheduled to take place in 2022. Although sources say that Season 6 would be released the same year, an official confirmation is awaited.

The upcoming season might consist of six episodes like Season 1. However, the developers are yet to make some other official announcements related to the sixth season.
