Spiral: From the Book Of Saw is the latest movie in the Saw franchise! If you don’t know, the Saw film series is an American horror franchise that was originally created by Leigh Whannell and James Wan. The franchise revolves around the Jigsaw Killer, also known as, John Kramer. Instead of killing his victims straightforward, he gives them tests of physical and psychological torture that they need to survive.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw: Plot and Cast
The production company, Lionsgate, detailed the plot of the movie as follows:
“Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner William Schenk (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly trapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game”.
Chris Rock came up with the idea for Spiral while at a friend’s wedding. He met the head of Lionsgate and discussed wanting to expand into the horror genre with a hint of comedy. He later approached Lionsgate and talked about extending the Saw series. And voila, here we are!
Chris Rock plays Detective Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks while Samuel L. Jackson plays Marcus Banks. Max Minghella plays Detective William Schenk while Marisol Nichols plays Captain Angie Garza. Finally, Zoie Palmer plays Kara Boswick.
