The gameplay is very simple compared to other games but it has still received a positive response, setting a record in terms of sales. While the first part was a massive success, gamers are now waiting to see what Super Bomberman R 2 has in store for everyone.

Despite getting a mixed reaction, Super Bomberman R managed to impress the customers when it was released in 2017. Millions of copies were sold by 2021 and after looking at the positive response, developers announced Super Bomberman R 2 in 2022. The game will be released on September 13, 2023.

An official trailer for Super Bomberman R 2 has not been released by the developers. Although fans are not aware of the new things that would be added in the sequel, a release date trailer was released five months ago.

Super Bomberman R 2: Gameplay

Super Bomberman R 2 will be very unique compared to the first part. The basic premise will be centered on a huge robotic black moon where a new species is evolving to finish off Planet Bomber. Now the 8 Bomberman Bros and their new friends are tasked to stop the destruction. There will be various battle modes like Castle Mode, Grand Prix Mode, Battle 64, and Standard Mode.

Starting with Castle Mode, the players need to make their defenses towards the side of the Castle and fight the attackers. One player will be fighting against 15 and the intention will be to get the key and open a treasure. However, the player will also need to stop the other side from reaching the key and treasure.

The Grand Prix mode can be played by two teams with three players in each. Around 64 players can participate in the Battle 64 mode followed by 16 in the Standard Mode. Players need to survive until the end in Battle 64 and Standard Mode.

The game will feature several characters like White Bomber, Yellow Bomber, Golem Bomber, Simon Belmont Bomber, and others. Bean Bomber would make a guest appearance, although it remains unknown when he will be seen.
