The long awaited trailer for the final episodes of Supernatural is finally out! While the pandemic put a hold to destiny’s plan for Sam and Dean Winchester, we are both excited (and not) to see them face their fate. For those of you who don’t know (but how do you not?!), Supernatural is an American fantasy series on the CW. It was first broadcast in 2005 and has since then become a fan favourite.

Supernatural: Cast and Plot

Supernatural is a drama series about two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, who hunt supernatural creatures. Duh! It was created by writer Eric Kripke who has ‘been fascinated by urban legends’ since he was young. He wrote Supernatural as a movie but later pitched it to WB where it was picked up. How grateful are we that it wasn’t a movie!

In the show, Sam and Dean travel throughout America hunting ghosts, demons and all kinds of monsters. Jared Padalecki plays the role of Sam Winchester while Jensen Ackles plays Dean Winchester.

The show also has several recurring characters in the form of enemies and the Winchesters’ father. Jim Beaver plays Bobby Singer, a close family friend of the Winchesters until the seventh season. Bela Talbot, a thief selling occult objects to people for her own gain, was made a series regular after season 3. She is played by Lauren Cohan.

The writers for the series also added references to Christian mythology through the addition of angels Uriel and Michael and the fallen archangel, Lucifer. Many of the guest characters are killed since the two lead characters cannot be killed.

Supernatural Season 15: Updates and Trailer

The pandemic has been a blessing for some people who didn’t want to see Supernatural end. However, for those who have been waiting to finish the series, we have good news! The series is scheduled to return to the CW starting Thursday, October 8.

Let’s hope that Sam and Dean are able to find the all-powerful celestial weapon Occultum and destroy Chuck. Check out the trailer for the final episodes below, but remember to keep a handkerchief handy!
