Trial 4 is a true crime documentary television mini series that came out in 2020. Reme Burkel directed it while Jean Xavier de Lestrade worked as the executive producer. The series came out on Netflix and tells the story of Sean K. Ellis who was convicted on the charge of murder when he was a teenager. He was accused of killing a Boston police officer names John J. Mulligan in 1993.

Netflix details the plot of the documentary series as such:

“Charged as a teen in the 1993 killing of a Boston cop, Sean K. Ellis fights to prove his innocence while exposing police corruption and systemic racism.”

Florencia Di Concilio and Romain Trouillet worked on the music for the series while Baptiste Charvet, Matthieu Deniau, Xavier Drouault, Philippe Grivel, Jean Marc Lentretien and Yves Servagent worked on the sound department for the show. Luc Golfin and Vincent Trisolini worked as editors for the series while Flore Commandeur and Jeff Genie worked on the music for the show.

This television show comes out at a very important time in world history, when one of the biggest nations in the world contemplates with its inherent systematic racism. Often, we try to avoid the conversation about such sensitive topics. We believe that by being nice to everyone and politically correct when we speak, we can somehow change society and each other’s minds.
