The Rookie Season 3 – Cast details and more interesting updates!

The Rookie is a police procedural comedy-drama television series on ABC. The series is created by Alexi Hawley. It is produced by ABC Studios and Entertainment One. The Rookie follows the story of John Nolan, a forty-five year old newly divorced man from Pennsylvania, former owner of a construction company, and the father of a son in college. John Nolan is inspired to move to Los Angeles and pursue a new career as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), after he inadvertently helps some police officers in foiling a bank robbery. He closes his construction company and moves out west, as he becomes the oldest rookie in the LAPD, at the age of 45. The premise of the show is inspired by real life LAPD officer, Bill Norcross, who also serves as an executive producer on the show.

The first season of The Rookie premiered on October 16, 2018, and ended on April 16, 2019, consisting of 20 episodes. The second season aired from September 29, 2019 to May 10, 2020, also consisting of 20 episodes. The Rookie was renewed for a third season in May, 2020.

Cast details and more updates about The Rookie Season 3

While no official news has been out yet of any new additions to the cast of The Rookie in season 3, we can expect to see most of the cast from the previous season returning. This includes protagonist of the series John Nolan, who is portrayed by Nathan Fillion; Alyssa Diaz as LAPD training officer Angela Lopez; Richard T. Jones as sergeant and watch commander Wade Grey; Titus Makin Jr. as rookie officer Jackson West, son of Commander West (Michael Beach); Melissa O’Neil as another rookie cop Lucy Chen; Eric Winter as training officer Tim Bradford; Mekia Cox as Nolan’s training officer Nyla Harper; Harold Perrineau as night detective Nick Armstrong; Ali Larter as Grace Sawyer; and Jasmine Mathews as Rachel Hall.
