Blue Bloods Season 11: Release Date, Plot and Updates!

Created by Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess, Blue Bloods is an American police procedural drama TV series. The show is networked by CBS and comprises of 10 seasons. Well, 10 seasons, a huge one, right? Pulling off a TV series with 10 segments is not an easy thing to do. However, the series has triumphantly managed to get positive and stable reviews throughout all the seasons. The show received praises for the terrific cinematography, a gripping story and an amazing cast. It is considered to be one of the best cop shows ever.

The good news for the fans of Blue Bloods is that CBS has renewed the series for an eleventh season!

Release Date and Trailer of Blue Bloods Season 11:

The first season of the series aired on September 24th, 2010. It is noteworthy that all the following seasons of Blue Bloods released in September every year. If the cycle had to be followed season 11 would have aired in September 2020. But, the pandemic led to the delay in filming and productions of all the shows. On May 2020, CBS renewed the series for an eleventh season.

Nothing can be predicted about the release date as the show has not yet started filming yet, as per sources. Fans are eager to know whether this is the final season. The network has not yet updated on any such news of season 11 being the final season.

What is it about?

For those of you unaware of what the show is about, here goes the official synopsis as on CBS “Blue Bloods is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son, Danny, a seasoned detective, family man and Iraq War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases with his partner, Detective Maria Baez.” 

Well, it is too early to anticipate what happens in season 11 of the show. Season 10 finale left the audience with a number of answered questions.

The cast members are Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan, Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan, Will Estes as Jamie Reagan, Len Cariou as Henry Reagan, Tom Selleck as Frank Reagan, Andrew Terraciano as Sean Reagan, Sami Gayle as Nicky Reagan and Tony Terraciano as Jack Reagan.
