Leaked Google Pixel 4 Render shows punch-hole display and dual rear cameras

Google launched the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL last year. They were really impressive in terms of software and camera but the design somehow felt flat. Google seemed to be just following trends instead of coming up with original ideas. This year, Google may play the same role as a trend follower with its upcoming Pixel 4 smartphone.

The Pixel 3 XL was widely criticized for its exaggerated notch and chin. The Pixel 3 was mostly spared by its critics mostly due to its symmetrical face which still managed to look good with the big bezels than the XL model. The recently leaked fresh image show that Google may be working on a punch-hole display for the Pixel 4. The design seems very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10+ that was launched last month.

The image is not verified yet so we would advise you to take it with a pinch of salt. However, there is evidence suggesting the image is not genuine. If you look closely you can see artifacts visible around the “G” as well as the rear and front cameras. But if turns out to be authentic it may turn out to be sleek-looking device than its predecessor. Though many people are sure to dislike the double-punch-hole selfie cameras, the bezels are thinner than the Pixel 3 devices.

Till now the Pixel series are doing very well with a single rear camera but it seems to get an additional sensor this time. The oval shape of the camera module hints a secondary sensor. The Pixel cameras are already doing wonders with a single sensor, so imagine what two can do. There is also no visible fingerprint sensor, so we can assume it to have an under display one or in the handset’s power button.

We can be sure that Google’s next generation Pixel handsets are not going to launch anytime soon. The company will likely launch the new ‘Pixel 3 Lite” series before unveiling the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. It will likely to hit the market towards the end of 2019.
