Xbox Series X: Logo Leaked?

Published

on

The Xbox Series X is a forthcoming home gaming console developed by Microsoft. It was revealed as “Project Scarlett” at E3 2019 and is expected for release at the end of 2020.

The console is part of the proposed fourth-generation Xbox hardware family, replacing the existing Xbox Part series. It is intended to boost technology with improved display resolution and frame rate and decreased load times.

Following the announcement, Microsoft representative confirmed that the Xbox Series X was an entry in the fourth generation of Xbox hardware that would merely be called “Xbox”. Before the E3 was announced, it was rumored that Microsoft was also creating a second, lower-end console called “Lockhart” to complement what was released as Scarlett.

Logo Description

The Xbox Series X logo has been depicted in a patent filing. It can’t tell us a lot about the new console. But one thing that can be known for sure is that it’s more appealing than the PS5 logo.

The Xbox Series X logo is more symbolic of a shift in the transition from one generation to the next.

The logo displays the word ‘Series’ in a vertical line, next to the stylized ‘X’. It’s a more modern and compact style for Xbox. Also, it’s a little smoother and, better suited to a sports brand.

How “Series” and “X” are divided can be used as a clue to other next-gen Xbox models with different characters.

Microsoft also confirmed that the Xbox Series X will support all games that can be played on the Xbox One, including the Xbox 360 and the original Xbox console titles, enabling the console to accommodate four generations of games.

Microsoft announced in March 2020 that given the pandemic, they still expect Xbox Series X to deliver by the end of 2020, even though they are tracking supply chains and the health of their staff.
