The game is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. Arzette will be a follow-up to the CD-i games Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon.

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore will be a new addition to the adventure genre. The main protagonist will be Arzette who will be exploring the land of Faramore, aiming to take down the evil Daimur. The gameplay will be in 2D and will have some animated cutscenes in a style that is the same as the CD-i games. According to John Linneman, the game is going to be the same as the Monster World.

Seth “Dopply” Fulkerson is the person who is working behind everything related to Arzette. The game entered development under the title Seedy Eye Software and the unofficial remakes for Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon were released for Linux and Windows in November 2020. The developers tried to avoid any kind of controversy and Fulkerson released the remakes for download in two days following its release.
Seedy Eye Software and Limited Run Games joined as the publishers in 2020 and it was officially announced in July 2023 by Limited Run Games. Jeffrey Rath and Bonnie Kean Wilbur joined as the voice actors for the game and John Linneman was revealed to be the level designer. Digital Foundry’s Audun Sorlie later joined as the game’s lead producer and writer.
The developers have confirmed that Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore will be released in 2023 but an exact date and month are yet to be announced.
