Developed and published by Milestone, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is an upcoming racing video game that is a sequel to Hot Wheels Unleashed (2021). The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged Gameplay

Turbocharged is going to have a lot of racing and the gamer will be in control of vehicles that have been a part of the Hot Wheels franchise. They would compete against various opponents in many tracks that will be normal locations. The tracks would be set in five separate surroundings which would be inspired by an arcade, a museum, a gas station diner, and more. There will be a Track Room where players can also make their personal racing tracks alongside sharing them with everyone. Outdoor tracks will feature a lot of terrain that would have grass and dirt alongside more modules, letting gamers perform skills like avoiding gravity and driving on the ceiling.

Vehicles have double jump facilities and players can also jump on top of the other participants to reach secret areas. Players can also remove the opponents from the track. There would be a few new vehicles that include motorcycles alongside those that would be working perfectly in a terrain. There will be 130 vehicles in the overall collection and all of them would have their own advantages and disadvantages. Players can bring vehicles from the store and this would unlock the vehicle at the same time. The vehicles can also be updated as per the gamer’s requirement and players would also earn skill points which would help in customization. More gameplay modes are being added including elimination events, drift challenges, and more. There is a story mode where animated cutscenes and other features would be added.

On May 31, 2023, the game was officially announced and is set to be released on October 19, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S. The first content pack which could be downloaded will include the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody from the Fast & Furious franchise. The same thing will also be found at the launch.
