Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Legendary game God of War took the gaming community by storm when it was initially launched back on PS2 in 2005. It had been highly praised for its graphics, sound, story, and gameplay and has been claimed as one of the greatest video games ever made. Of the 4 seasons acclaimed tremendously, gaming enthusiasts are requesting for God of War 5.

A Quick Inception about God of War

An “action-adventure” gaming franchise directed and designed by David Jaffe in the Santa Monica Studio of Sony Computer Entertainment, God of War released its first season on 22nd March 2005 on the PlayStation 2 video game console. It was the first installment in the series of the same name and the third chronologically.

After selling more than 4.6 million copies across the seas and making it to the eleventh best selling PS2 games of all times, the game and its first sequel, God of War 2, was remastered and released in November 2009 as series of the God of War Collection, and in 2012, the remastered version was re-released as part of the “God of War Saga”, both for the PS3 and PS2.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) released the eighth installment of God of War on April 20, 2018, for the PS4. It was directed by  Cory Barlog and developed by SIE Santa Monica Studios. It was the eighth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010’s God of War 3.

When will God of War 5 Release?

For the time being there has been no updates by Sony Interactive Enjoyment and Santa Monica Studio. Neither a confirmed date nor any particular time to anticipate. Seems that the game is still under the “development stage”. We only got a teaser trailer confirming God of War 5 though that trailer doesn’t have anything much to portray about gameplay and other details.  Recently David hinted concerning the confirmation of God of War 5 on social media but it wasn’t enough to set up a conclusion.

But, the director Cory Barlog lately said that another installment will not take the next 5 years to develop such as 2018’s God of War did. Also hinting that Kratos and Atreus will return on the PlayStation 5. Scroll down to see the tweet.

Barlog’s brief tweet riled up many God of War fans that tweeted back at him begging for a few quite official announcements for the title. Santa Monica remains to keep quiet about the longer term of the series.

He told Kotaku in April 2018 that he had brainstormed enough God of War story ideas for five new games. He later clarified on Twitter he was speaking candidly which Santa Monica doesn’t even have plans for five more games, but it seems that Barlog has quite enough material to figure with for God of War Season 5 and might already be developing the subsequent game.

To top that off, Santa Monica also posted employment opening for a “Senior Combat Designer” in Flag Day that required applicants to possess “knowledge of God of War (2018) and be ready to speak in-depth about the combat system, mechanics, and enemies.”

The position remains available as of March 2020, though the road that required knowledge of God of War (2018) appears to possess been removed. this means that the first position was filled or Santa Monica removed the snippet to avoid stirring up any rumors. So God of War 5 is nearly certainly in an early development stage, so gamers will probably need to wait an extended time before they get their hands thereon.

That means audiences should expect to visit God of War 5 hit shop shelves no more than 2022 – but, hopefully, a little bit sooner. So fans, all you have to do is wait, wait for the statements.

However, we expect God of War 5 to be as iconic as God of War 4. Take a look at the dynamic and vivid trailer of War 4 that was officially released by Playstation 4.

God of War 5 Characters

The characters of God of War have always made adrenaline rush run through our bodies. The identical description continues in the new version God of War 5 as well.  The protagonist of the game is “Kratos”, a Spartan warrior who serves and worships the Olympian Gods. Other characters include a host of Greek gods, such as Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and Kratos’ ally and mentor; Ares, the God of War and Main antagonist; Poseidon, the God of the Sea; Aphrodite the Goddess of Love and Sexuality; Zeus, the King of the Gods; Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt; and Hades, the God of the Underworld.

God of War 5 Gameplay

The gameplay of God of War depicts combo-based combat through the gamer’s main weapon—the Blades of Chaos—and a secondary weapon acquired later in the game. It features puzzles, platforming elements, quick-time events that require the gamer’s hands-on various game controller actions in a limited timed to defeat stronger foes. The players also have the ability to four magical attacks and power-enhancing features as alternative combat options. Though we expect some additional features, yet the gamely of God of War 5 is likely to remain as it was earlier.

God of War 5 Plot

The God of War is centered on the story of Kratos, who may be a warrior and needs to require revenge after his family killed thanks to his ex-master, the Greek God of War Ares. God of War Season 5 will continue the story left off by the last God of Warand research Norse mythology in greater detail, even as how the primary God of War trilogy did with Greek mythology. Soon before the most recent God of War launched in April 2018, Sony Santa Monica senior online community strategist “Aaron Kaufman” verified that additional installments within the franchise will follow Norse mythology which gamers shouldn’t have played the primary games to play or understand the sequels because the story has, somehow, been resumed. Although the Norse mythology age, that introduces his son Atreus as a secondary protagonist, reveals an older Kratos on a course of redemption, which accidentally brings both into battle with the Norse gods.

Will Kartos Die in God of War 5?

Kratos is the protagonist of the God of War Season 5. So, it’s unlikely to assume his fatality. Moreover, if we assume his death then it would be difficult for God Of War to release the sequel and to continue the franchise. However, we may never accurately predict what might actually happen. The closer we get to the launch date of the newest edition, we will have the ability to unravel the gameplay and storyline.

God Of War 5: Is Thor a logo Of Kratos’ Past?

We know that Kratos is driven by hatred and Thor also bears a dislike for several, including the planet Serpent. Thor is going to be seeking revenge after Kratos killed his son Magni and his half-brother, Baldur. On the opposite hand, Kratos also seeks revenge for the loss of his brother, his wife, and his sister. However, the fans also think that Thor himself has possibilities to be a logo of Kratos’ past. we all know that Kratos slaughtered many men using the facility of Ares. On the opposite side, Thor willingly kills the giants of the realms, at the order of Odin, thus becoming a feared and powerful god.

Games as visually stunning and story-driven as God of War take at least a few years to complete. But at least Santa Monica can carry some of the grunt work it did from the 2018 release over to the eventual sequel. With that in mind, it’s possible that we could see a God of War 5 official announcement trailer sometime in the next year or two. God of War 5 is nearly certainly in an early development stage, so gamers will probably need to hold their anticipation up to the extended time before they get their hands on the upcoming version.
