Developed by Rob Doherty and Scott Sonneborn, Angry Birds: Summer Madness is an animated children’s streaming television series. Based on the Angry Birds franchise by Rovio Entertainment, Sonneborn is also the executive producer of the show along with Tom van Waveren, Edward Galton, Heather Walker, Jason Netter, Heather Puttock, Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala and John Cohen.

The first season of the show premiered on January 28, 2022. The series received generally positive reviews and considering the decent response, the makers renewed the series for a second season., which is scheduled to premiere soon.

Angry Birds: Summer Madness Plot and Cast

Although the developers have not revealed much about the plot of Angry Birds: Summer Madness Season 2, it will continue from where Season 1 ended. The basic premise features Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Stella at Camp Splinterwood, with their counsellor being Mighty Eagle. The pigs also appear in this series, as rival campers.

The series focuses on the teenage versions of the characters. Stella and Neiderflyer have been in a feud since kindergarten and each friend group must outdo the other in the camp’s activities such as water sliding, basketball, paintball, dodgeball, and more. In their journey, Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Stella run into the Pig side of the camp.

The expected voice cast for the second season include Ian Hanlin as Red and Neiderflyer, Gigi Saul Guerrero as Stella, Ty Olsson as Bomb, Deven Mack as Chuck, Adam Kirschner as Mighty Eagle and Terence, Tabitha St. Germain as Lynette, Peter Kelamis as Harold and Ana Sani as Robin and Matilda.

The show was recently renewed for a new season. The makers have revealed the release date for Angry Birds: Summer Madness Season 2 as June 24, 2022.

The rest of the details about Season 2 has not been revealed yet. We can predict that the upcoming season will also consist of 16 episodes like the previous season, although an official confirmation is awaited.
