Developed by Obsidian Entertainment Avowed is an action role-playing video game which is published by Xbox Game Studios. It will take place in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity in the world of Eora.

Avowed Release Date

Obsidian Entertainment has been involved with the game’s development and it is a part of the AAA project by Obsidian after the studio was purchased by Microsoft in 2018. The game was supposed to be a new take by Obsidian on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

But while the game was under development, the studio decided to bring some new things and give more emphasis to the story and characters. Carrie Patel, the director of the game, the companions in the storyline are an important part of the game. The game was announced at the Xbox Games showcase in 2020 and it will be released for Windows and Xbox sometime in 2024.

Avowed: Gameplay

Avowed is a new entry in the world of action and will be a first-person game. The player will be controlling the envoy of the Aedyr Empire who is currently at a place called the Living Lands to find out more about a plague that is spreading slowly. Players would get special abilities like melee weapons, magic, firearms, and more. The game is going to have a lot of skill trees, helping to get more powers.

Players can also get updates for their weapons and the players would get to explore a completely new world. The players would also get to speak to non-playable characters and the developers have included many dialogue options. The NPCs will also become team members at one point with different powers. The gamers can explore the remote place and also complete the quests simultaneously without a lot of interruption.
