Bad Moms’ Moms: third Bad Moms movie details!

Bad Moms was a film about three overworked, underappreciated mothers who, tired of their exhausting lifestyle, decide to go wild and free and enjoy their lives as they know it. The film came out in 2016, and received generally positive critics and audience reviews. It collected $183 million against a budget of $20 million, which prompted a sequel. A Bad Moms Christmas, the sequel to Bad Moms, released in 2017. It was also well received by the audiences, although it didn’t match the box-office numbers of the first film. A Bad Moms Christmas grossed $130 million against a $28 million budget. Both films were written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.

A third film, titled Bad Moms’ Moms, was announced in April 2019.

What we know so far about Bad Moms’ Moms

The second Bad Moms film, A Bad Moms Christmas, introduced us to the moms of the original mom-trio. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn had reprised their roles from the first film as Amy, Kiki, and Carla, respectively. Christine Baranski played the role of Amy’s overly-critical mother, Ruth. Cheryl Hines played Sandy, Kiki’s overly-affectionate mother. Susan Sarandon played the role of Carla’s mother, Isis. As the three moms show up at their daughters’ house for Christmas, hilarity ensues as Amy, Kiki and Carla try to win back Christmas and celebrate it the way they want to.

After the second film received positive reviews, a third film was announced at CinemaCon in April 2019. Titled Bad Moms’ Moms, it is expected to focus on the lives of the original moms’ mothers; the grannies. Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon have been confirmed for the third film. Whether Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn will be part of the film or not is yet to be confirmed.

Release Date of Bad Moms’ Moms

The film was announced in April 2019, and the lead cast was also finalized. But there has not been much news regarding the script and crew of the third film. Directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore have also not been confirmed to be returning for the third film. As of now, there has been no official announcement for a release date for the film.
