Gameplay

At times the player can control crash, coco, and Doctor Neo Cortex. He is the game’s antagonist, in order to transverse levels. Traditional elements of the series return to the game. The game will have various traps and obstacles to overcome. Enemies can be defeated in certain manners and boxes can be smashed to collect items. The player can use four different special masks to overcome more complex problems. A mask allows players to slow downtime. Doctor Neo Cortex, Doctor Nefarious Trophy, and Uka Uka escape from space-time prison. They create a rip in the fabric of time in doing so they expose a multiverse. The game utilizes the unreal engine.

Story

The game’s story directly follows up Crash Bandicoot: Warped. Crash and Coco have to stop Neo Cortex after he starts messing with the fabric of the multiverse. Their adventure takes them the various unique worlds and universes as they try to collect four Quantum Masks that will give them new power and help restore balance to the multiverse.

Overall, the story appears to be more lighthearted than some of Crash’s previous outings and basically just gives Crash an excuse to visit exciting new worlds and levels.
