Dune: Release Date, Plot and Updates!

The all-time famous line of Frank Herbert’s best selling novel Dune made us see the world from a whole new perspective (and kind of ruined our inner peace), and hence, the director Denis Villeneuve thought of giving a global exposure to the book and reach the story to the non-readers as well, and gave birth to the upcoming American epic science fiction film, Dune, with a screenplay by Jon Spaihts, Villeneuve, and Eric Roth. Dune is said to cover the first half of the novel and will be released in the United States in IMAX and 3D on December 18, 2020, by Warner Bros. Pictures. A few days the official trailer was released by Warner Bros.and it looks the film is going to keep you on the edge, and it owes mainly to the juxtaposition of science, history, and classic touch and the impeccable acting skills of the casts. Even the trailer keeps does not reveal much about the plot and yet gives us a lot of vibes.

The plot of Dune is anticipated to follow the story of the book, and might not change much for the sake of the screenplay. Back in June 2019, it was announced that Legendary Television will be producing a spin-off television series, Dune: The Sisterhood, for WarnerMedia’s streaming service, HBO Max. The series will focus on the Bene Gesserit and serve as a prequel to the film. The series is set to begin filming on November 2, 2020, in Budapest and Jordan. Villeneuve will direct the series’ pilot, with and Dana Calvo as showrunner for the series. Villeneuve said

I would not agree to make this adaptation of the book with one single movie. The world is too complex. It’s a world that takes its power in detail.
