Fatal Affair is one of the major films in Netflix’s lineup for original thriller films this year and soon will be released exclusively on the streaming platform globally. The film is directed by Peter Sullivan and co-written by Sullivan and Rasheeda Garner. Peter Sullivan has previously worked on Secret Obsession, another Netflix original, which was released last year and had received mixed reviews.
Release Date
Fatal Affair is set to release globally on Netflix on 16th July 2020. Its filming had finished between October and early 2020 in Los Angeles and was devoid of the effects of the ongoing pandemic crisis.
Cast
The movie stars Nia Long as Ellie and Omar Epps as David in the lead. Long and Epps and appeared alongside each other previously in the movie Miramax in 1999. Nia Long is well known for her roles in Third Watch, Big Mommy, and Apple TV+’s The Banker. Long is also a film’s co-producer alongside Barry Barnholtz, Brian Nolan, and Jeffrey Schenck. Omar Epps is popular for his portrayal as Dr. Eric Foreman in House.
The remaining top cast for Fatal Affair includes Stephen Bishop as Michael (Moneyball), Aubrey Cleland as Britanny (Lethal Weapon series), Maya Stojan as Courtney (Castle), Kj Smith as Deborah (Lethal Weapon), Carolyn Hennesy as Janice (Terminator 3), Kate Orsini as Lauralee (NCIS) and Lyn Alicia Henderson as Detective Larson (ER).
Plot
The movie has tagged as a “dark thriller” by Omar Epps. Ellie is trying to mend her marriage life which is falling apart but in the process, she gets deeply involved with a former companion who is more dangerous than Ellie had predicted. Fatal Affair follows the exploits of Ellie and the mishaps that entangle her and threaten her marriage.
