Hex Heroes: Release Date, Gameplay, and Trailer!

The unreleased-canceled party, real-time strategy game, Hex Heroes has been originally in development for Wii U since 2014, the console’s eShop closed in March 2023. It remains unfinished, with plans to release it on Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The game is ostensibly being developed by Prismatic Games,[2] and designed by Mario Castañeda, who previously co-created The Bridge. It features a number of characters from various franchises. Each character serves as a swap for each in-game class but has its own unique animations and personalities.

Hex Heroes Gameplay

The game is going to offer something routine along with a lot of new things to the players. Around give players can join the game at one time. One player can use the WiiU GamePad and four players can use the Wii Reemotes. The players would also get access to harvest resources, build structures, confrotn enemies and explore the most dangerous areas. The players can also use the GamePad to manage everything and take executive decisions and have a look at the land from the top. Players can also select any one class and each of them would portray a different role.

Hex Heroes Release Date

The idea of the game was taken from a game jam and the developers have already tried to be in touch with Nintendo through the indie self-publishing program. A new project was launched on Kickstarter and this helped to collect funds worth $80,000. The developers were able to speak to Grant Kirkhope and he joined the board in a few months. The developers also wanted to add more characters but they could not include them for some reason. The game was funded by April 2014 and the developers were able to collect around $86,000 by then. The game was later shown during the GX3 convention 2015 and received positive feedback. Prismatic was one of the investors and the game was shown again at the GDC Play conference the following year

The game was also said to be a perfect candidate for the Best in Play Award. Prismatic then revealed in January 2018 that Nintendo did not allow access to the development kit of the Switch. Nintendo then announced that the 3DS and Wii U eShop was shut down following which the game remained incomplete. There are no updates on when the game will be completed and released.
