A series of a historical theatrical adventure action film, National Treasure 3 has been a much-awaited release for the fans ever since National Treasure: Book of Secrets came out in 2007. Even though we never got a renewal for this movie, a third installment may be in the talks. This piece of information came in a THR report on how Bad Boy 4 is now being developed by writer Bremner. He is all set to write National Treasure 3 too.
National Treasure ( The Film)
The first film was released in 2004 and had brought in about $350 million. It showed Cage racing so that a team of merchants could dip into the prize before finding a Templar treasure that is legendary.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets
In the sequel that followed the first film, released in 2007. Here Cage was spotted following a clue left in John Wilkes Booth journal to prove his ancestor innocence in the murder of Abraham Lincoln. This movie made around $460 million.

What to expect?
National Treasure 3 is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the first two films. Though Nicholas Cage’s return is nowhere mentioned as treasure hunter Benjamin Franklin Gates, fans are clearly expecting that.
The THR report mentions “Bremer’s show is heating up because he’s also writing National Treasure 3 for Disney, among other projects.
Updates
Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger explained that Walt Disney Company’s 2019 Annual Meeting of Shareholders that they are not ready with a new plan creatively. Basically there is no new update on the project. But the collective idea of the franchise’s returning for another movie definitely has got potential. What more, the fans got to wait a tad longer. He also clarified that things don’t look good now, that they are just not there yet.
