Release date
The upcoming action-adventure game will be released on current-gen systems as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X in “late 2021”.
Lord of the Rings: Gollum, project manager Saide Haberstroh confirmed that the new game wasn’t just earmarked for early adopters of next-gen consoles, but it will also be coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, too.

Gameplay
The game will include a series of levels and hubs, plus a mixture of open levels and more linear missions where players are presented with a choice of alternative routes.
Story
Daedalic explained that the game will take place in the years following Gollum’s acquisition of the one ring, meaning that it is set prior to the events of The Lord of the Rings. “Everything that happens to him before he appears in the book are the main things we will see in our game.”
Lord of the Rings: Gollum is set to release sometime in 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.
