Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Release Date, Gameplay, and Trailer!

The Mario franchise has been one of the most successful franchises until now and multiple games have been released based on the franchise over the years. The games have received decent feedback and a new project is currently on the way, titled Mario vs. Donkey Kong. The game is being developed by Nintendo Software Technology Corporation and published by Nintendo. Apart from English, the game will be available in other languages, including German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Dutch, and Korean.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Release Date

Mario vs. Donkey Kong will be a remake of the first game and the gameplay style is said to be similar to the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. The normal version of the game featured some plastic and animated look of the characters but the new version will have a completely modern look. It will be inspired from the Super Mario 3D World and the appearance will be same like the Super Mario Maker 2. The game is now scheduled to be released on February 16, 2024.

The release of Mario vs. Donkey Kong is around two or three months away. However, developers are not rushing things for now and they have only released a brief video featuring a glimpse of the game.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong will be a spiritual successor to Donkey Kong and the gameplay will be almost similar to the original arcade game. Certain elements of the game were spotted in the latest Nintendo Direct reveal for the game where Marioa scales multiple platforms that are in control of the Donkey Kong to hit the gorilla with a barrel.

The remake would emphasize on puzzles and platforms and the biggest change inside the game will be the co-op support. The announcement trailer disclosed a glimpse of the co-op gameplay where Mario and Toad were spotted together. The remake is expected to include multiple playable characters and the new feature will become a series staple at one point.

The game is expected to revamp the spin-off as a part of the future plans for the franchise. However, the future of Donkey Kong is not confirmed for now and the new game is supposed to be the first step in this initiative.
