According to reports, Neon Blood will be set in the year 2053 right after the world has been destroyed due to the Third World War. The humans have been living in a macropolis called Viridis which includes two cities. The lead character will be Axel McCoin who is a detective and he has to fight against the injustice happening due to the social separation.

The game is going to have a detailed story with a cyberpunk theme. Character interaction and exploration would also be added inside the game along with 2.5D visuals, aiming to attract more gamers. Certain things would help to maintain a difference between the 2D characters and 3D environments.
