Netflix’s White Lines: Final Episode Explained! (Spoilers)

Netflix’s original series, White Lines is a British-Spanish mystery thriller series created by Alex Pina. The first season of the series with 10 episodes was aired on 15 May 2020.The series follows the story of Zoe Collins when she found her brother Axel dead after almost 20 years since he went missing while working as a DJ in Ibiza, so, she decides to go there, and investigate the death of her brother.

People were captivated by the plot of the show and surprised when it ended fantastically. In the final episode of White Lines, fans finally got to know who killed Axel Collins, whose body was found mummified in the desert of Spain. At first, it seemed that Oriol Calafat is the murderer when the fans got to learn that he slept with his sister and mother. However, in the final episode all the true identity of the characters revealed, and the cat was finally out of the bag.

Who killed Axel Collins?

In the last episode, we saw a quick flashback to the birthday party where it was established that Axel was killed. Fans get to know that Oriol was with David, and he is totally out of the picture of killing Axel. On his 24th birthday party, Axel told his friend Anna that he wants to start anew, and he had sold his music empire and burned all the money, and also threatened Anna about her cheating. Meanwhile, Anna was cheating on her partner Marcus with Axel. Learning Axel’s actions Anna was extremely furious enough to kill him. Axel had some bad reactions due to high usage of cocaine, and Anna held him into the swimming pool until he drowned himself. She got Marcus to hide the body in Oriol’s car, but Axel refused to die and regain consciousness in the car trying to get out of it. Marcus ran over him and when didn’t work, Anna put screwdriver through his brain, and so, he died.

Why Anna killed Axel?

Anna, on the present day, explained to Axel’s sister Zoe, why she did that to her friend and lover, Axel because she was scared that Axel might tell Marcus about their affair, and after learning this affair Marcus might leave her stranded which eventually happened for good when Marcus learned how he was manipulated.

The season ended with Zoe scattering the ashes in the sea, and founding closure to her brother’s brutal murder. If there is a new season of White Lines, then the viewers will get to see new plot story.
