Possessor: Plot and Cast
The movie focuses on possessors: contract killers who input their consciousness into someone else’s body so that they can complete an assassination. The movie begins when a woman named Holly sticks a probe onto her head and turns on a machine. She is later seen at a party where she kills a wealthy attorney and is later killed by the police.
Turns out, she was being controlled by a woman named Tasya Vos, a possessor. After the mission, her boss Girder checks to see if her consciousness is still intact by showing her objects from her past, including a butterfly she killed as a child.
She is still unstable in society and thus sent on another mission, this one having much higher stakes than the ones before. She needs to murder the stepfather John and stepsister Ava of a man named Reid. She takes over the body of Colin, Ava’s boyfriend. However, she underestimated how strong Colin’s consciousness could be.
Andrea Riseborough plays Tasya Vos while Christopher Abbott plays Colin Tate. Rossif Sutherland plays Michael Vos, Tasya’s husband in real life, while Gage Graham-Arbuthnot plays Ira Vos, her son. Jennifer Jason Leigh plays Girder, Tasya’s handler while Tuppence Middleton plays Ava Parse, one of Tasya’s targets.
