Star Citizen: Gameplay, Trailer, and Release Date!

Many games have gone through the development phase in the last few years but they never witnessed a release. Star Citizen is also one of the games and it has been in the making for around 12 years. Although the game entered the pre-development phase in 2010, the game has not been released until now and gamers are eagerly waiting for the release considering the glimpses that have gone viral in all the online platforms.

Star Citizen: Release Date

Star Citizen started its pre-production work in 2010 and it was confirmed to be released on CryEngine 3. The game was officially announced in 2012 and this was followed by a Kickstarter campaign in 2012. The game was confirmed to be released in a single player mode and they aimed to release it only for Microsoft Windows. The game was supposed to be released by 2014 but because the platform went through multiple changes, it was delayed for several times. A release date is yet to be confirmed.

The developers of Star Citizen have not shared any updates related to the game’s development and this is one of the reasons why there is no trailer until now for the game.

Star Citizen: Gameplay

Star Citizen is said to be a mixture of multiple elements, including the space simulator, first person shooter and online multiplayer genres. There are four different modes and all of them have their own mechanics. The four modes include Hangar module, Arena Commander, Star Marine, and Persistent Universe.

In the Hangar module, the players can find and make changes to the ships they have purchased. The second mode will let the players to fly ships in different game types against rest of the players or AI opponents. The Star Marine mode will be a ground combat simulator where players can confront each other and two maps were released with two more types.

The Persistent Universe is also called Crusader. It will be a combination of different aspects of the other three modes. Players can also move around the surface of all the planets that include nine moons, a planetoid, and a gas giant.
