The Lake: Release Date, Trailer and more!
Amazon Prime Video is bringing a new Canadian comedy-drama television series titled The Lake. It is Amazon’s first scripted Canadian Amazon Original series.
The series is written by Julian Doucet. Doucet is also the executive producer with Michael Souther and Teza Lawrence. Filming began for this series on August 5, 2021, in Northern Ontario, Canada, and wrapped up on September 1, 2021.

The Lake Release Date
Even though the release date for the show has not been announced yet, we can expect it to release towards the mid of 2022 or the first half of 2023.
The number of episodes for the new show alongside the runtime for each episode is yet to be revealed. The name of the director helming all the episodes remains unknown for now.
The Lake Plot and Cast
After returning from abroad after a break-up with his long-term partner, Justin plans to connect with his teenage daughter he gave up for adoption. His plans to make new memories with his daughter at the family cottage go awry when he discovers his parents left it to his picture-perfect step-sister, Maisy-May.
Amazon says the story goes from family bonding in nature to “petty rivalry, strained relationships, day drinking, and mosquito-ravaged sunburns.”
The company says production has started on The Lake, which stars Canadian actor Jordan Gavaris of “Orphan Black” fame and Julia Stiles of “Hustlers” and “The Bourne Identity.”
Talking about the cast, it also includes Madison Shamoun, Jon Dore, Carolyn Scott, Natalie Lisinska, Travis Nelson, Declan Whaley and Terry Chen in the lead roles.
