The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2: Release Date, Trailer and more!

Adult animated fantasy series The Legend of Vox Machina is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The show has received decent feedback from critics and audiences and currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The first season premiered on January 28, 2022. Created by Matthew Mercer, it is based on campaign one of the Dungeons & Dragons web series Critical Role and produced by Critical Role Productions, Titmouse, Inc. and Amazon Studios.

The Legend of Vox Machina Plot and Cast

As we saw in Season 1, after being brought before King Uriel Tal’Dorei, ruler of the Tal’Dorei Empire, Vox Machina found that Uriel was abdicating the throne to relinquish rule of the Empire to the Tal’Dorei Council, claiming Vox Machina’s teamwork inspired his choice.

But after Vex’ahlia’s ringing ears altered the gang to an incoming dragon, Keyleth and King Uriel saw four dragons quickly approaching. The season ended on the sight of four dragons getting ready to decimate Emon.

The new season is expected to continue from where the first season ended and it would deal with the repercussions of what’s assured to be a violent opening.

In Season 1, the first two episodes depict a new story about the seven member Vox Machina team at D&D Level 7 on their first grown up mission, that happens before the Critical Role’s first RPG show. The show adapts the Briarwood arc from the original web series where Vox Machina crew avenges the murders of the rulers of the town of Whitestone and most of their offspring by the evil Lord and Lady Briarwood.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham in the lead roles.

The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2 Release Date

The Legend of Vox Machina was renewed for a second season before Season 1 had its premiere. However, the makers are yet to announce an official release date for the new season.

For now, we can expect it to be released sometime in 2023. There is a possibility that the makers would release the first three episodes at first and the rest on a weekly basis.
