The Naked Director is a Japanese semi-biographical comedy-drama streaming television series co-directed by Masaharu Take. Based on the non-fiction novel Zenra Kantoku Muranishi Toru Den by Nobuhiro Motohashi, tells the story of Japanese adult video director Toru Muranishi. The series premiered on Netflix on August 8, 2019. It stars Takayuki Yamada as Muranishi, alongside Shinnosuke Mitsushima and Tetsuji Tamayama.

What is the show about?
The Naked Director follows the story of Muranishi’s unusual and dramatic life filled with big ambitions as well as spectacular setbacks in his attempt to turn Japan’s porn industry on its head.
Is the show coming back with its Season 2?
The answer is “Yes!”. On August 15, 2019, Netflix renewed the series for a second season. We will soon be having another season of the show. Stay tuned for the latest updates!

Cast and Characters of The Naked Director Season 2
Most of the main cast will be returning. On the show, we will be having Takayuki Yamada as Toru Muranishi, Shinnosuke Mitsushima as Toshi Arai, and Tetsuji Tamayama as Kawada. Also, we will be seeing Ryo Ishibashi as Ikezawa, Lily Franky as Takei, and Misato Morita as Megumi/Kaoru Kuroki. Also, we have Jun Kunimura as Furuya, Takenori Goto as “Rugby”, and Tokio Emoto as Kosuke Mitamura. We will also be having Sairi Ito as Junko, Koyuki as Kayo, and Kimiko Yo as Kozue Muranishi. Also, we will be seeing Pierre Taki as Wada, Nanami Kawakami as Miku, and Ami Tomite as Naoko. We also have Takato Yonemoto as Jimmy, Itsuji Itao as Ono, and Jade Albany Pietrantonio as Allison Mandy. Also, Ruri Shinato as Sachiko, and many others will be on the show.
