Watch Hanna Season 2 Teaser Trailer On Prime!

Amazon Prime recently released the teaser trailer of Hanna Season 2 which will be releasing on July 3, 2020! Fans are all super excited about this as the wait for this sophomore season has been a long one. Check out the teaser trailer in the link below!

The trailer is pretty brief and it shows Hanna played by Esme Creed-Miles walking through the UTRAX facility. The trailer also introduces a new character, John Carmichael(played by Dermot Mulroney) as the UTRAX overseer. The trailer doesn’t reveal much and fans are excited to see how the second season of Hanna unravels!

Other Details About The Show

Hanna is an American action-drama web series which is based on the 2011 movie of the same name. The series was created by David Farr and directed by Sarah Adina Smith. The first episode aired on Amazon Prime as a time-limited preview on February 3, 2019. The full season was then released on March 29, 2019.

The main cast includes Esme Creed-Miles as Hanna, Mireille Enos as Marissa Wiegler, Joel Kinnaman as Erik, and Noah Taylor as Dr. Roland Kunek. Apart from these characters, we also saw the introduction of a new character in the trailer, John Carmichael.

The Storyline In Season 1

Hanna is a 15-year-old girl living with Erik(the only man she has ever known as her father) in a forest in Poland. Erik recruited pregnant women into a CIA program whose code name is UTRAX, where children’s DNA was enhanced in order to create super-soldiers. Erik falls in love with Johanna, Hanna’s mother, and flees with baby Hanna. The CIA then order Marissa, their on-site agent to shut down the project and eliminate all the babies. In the eighth and final episode of season 1, we saw that Hanna learns the truth about UTRAX from Erik and they attempt to rescue trainees from the facility. But they are only able to convince one trainee, Clara to escape with them. In this process, Erik gets injured and succumbs to his injuries.

According to a review on Rotten Tomatoes, “A gritty reimagining of the 2011 film, Hanna adds new wrinkles to the mythology and texture to the titular assassin- though the series’ long-winded journey may try the patience of viewers who want their violent fables concise.”

Let’s hope that season 2 of Hanna gets more exciting and comes with an even better storyline!
