One of the news about HBO is that one of the most surprising announcements concerning the launch of the second season of DC Universe’s Doom Patrol will be coming soon.
Based on the DC series of the same name, Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Diana Guerrero as Crazy Jane. Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor.
April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Joivan Wade as Vic Stone. Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder. Season 1 is streaming on DC Universe.
“There have been extensive discussions around DCU. Because DC is such a valuable entity to us and the depth of fandom is so important. So we want to figure out how we walk this line for fans where we have a deep fan engagement. Which is why DCU was designed, and broader fan engagement,” Reilly told the outlet.
News that is going to bother any DC fans is that this will be the only series airing on HBO. It is confirmed that there are no current plans for any other DCU show.

So why is Doom Patrol the only DC show on HBO?
HBO Max content chief Kevin Reilly said why this series seemed the most appropriate in all ways. he recited “have been extensive discussions around DCU and how to walk the line between a very specific deep fan engagement service like DCU with something broader like HBO Max’.
“That is evolving but there were high-end series that DCU produced. That felt like, budgetary, we could handle from a business model better, and bring along and service that swath of fans,” Reilly explained.
“Doom Patrol was a show we identified that had a deep love for it and tucked right into our portfolio”. The Season 2 premiere of Doom Patrol will be released on both DC and HBO Max on June 25th. The entire first season is currently available to stream on DC Universe.
Well, the suspense lies in the fact that whether HBO will include any other DC series or not. But, we can still enjoy our favorite Doom Patrol anytime.
