Will Netflix stream Season 9 of American Horror Story?

All eight seasons of the famous Emmy Award-winning ‘American Horror Story’ are available on the streaming platform, Netflix. However, fans are now in confusion – whether the new season of AHS will be available on Netflix. This question arises after the big merger of FX’s parent company and Disney.

The new season is titled American Horror story: 1984. The series is produced by the big creator Ryan Murphy. The first eight seasons were massive hits. They are Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak show, Hotel, Roanoake, Cult, and Apocalypse.

What do fans expect?

As usual, fans expect this season to be in Netflix as FX has wrapped up all episodes of Season 9. But there are quite a few speculations that this time Netflix won’t stream it. There are reasons for the argument. FX has joined hands with Disney to stream all its shows and specifically all seasons of AHS on Hulu. All seasons are now added to Hulu streaming library.

Bob, Former Disney CEO explains the relationship between FX and Disney, “I think it’s a really good thing because of the brand FX represents; meaning the power of its programming, the quality of its programming, I think it’s a great thing for Hulu and good for FX.”

Another important reason is, Netflix is not popularly known for streaming the latest content that fast. At the height of all, fans also fear that the series will be removed from the platform harming binge-watchers’ interests. But this fear is not widely acknowledged as Netflix continues to pay the licensing for this horror series as well as POSE and American Crime Story.

Availability in countries

The expected release of season 9 is in September/October 2020. It continues to have the fan-favorite characters played by Lily Rabe, Kathy Bates, Angelica Ross, Macaulay Culkin, and Billie Lourd.

Netflix United Kingdom will be the first to receive the series followed by Netflix US. Australia is not going to expect the series because it has lost earlier in 2020. The series will be available to watch in Germany, France, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, Spain, and Switzerland. But Canadian users will still be deprived as the series is not available there.

What is the storyline?

This new season of the anthology series will deal with Camp Redwood that has five visitors who work as counselors. They hail from Los Angeles. A notorious killer named ‘Mr. Jennings escapes the prison and arrives at Camp Redwood where he continues his killings. This season will be the first to not cast all-time favorite Evan Peters. But as far as Sarah Paulson is concerned, she returns only for a minor role.

Season 10 is said to be delayed. So fans of American Horror story! We need to wait until September to get a piece of good news.
