The theme of Alan Wake II is going to be different compared to what we have seen in the first game. This one will be in the survival horror game but the characters are going to be the same, which includes Alan Wake and Saga Anderson.

Both the characters would have their own stories and the player has the freedom to choose any one of them. The basic intention of the characters would be to fight the enemies with firearms and flashlight. The flashlight needs to be used for a limited time and players have to save the battery and ammunition as they will be available in limited supply.

Certain detective elements would also be included in the game. Gamers just need to press the pause button and they would enter a place called the Mind Place. Here the thoughts of Saga would appear in front of the player and he or she can also solve the mysteries of the game in a pin board.

The main premise will be set 13 years after Alan Wake went missing. The town of Bright Falls, Washington witnesses a series of murders and Saga is hired to solve the murders. Saga later realized that something supernatural is involved in all of it.
